Invite-only course

AI Carrel: private AI you own, not rent.

Admission starts with our Group, where we work together to keep our data on our own machines. Never in a public cloud open to breaches. Never in reach of corporate or government surveillance.

Invite only. Group members are reviewed before course invitations go out.

Local by default

Our shared data lives on hardware our members control.

Invite only

The course opens only to people who join and are approved.

Built together

Members collaborate on one standard for keeping data private.

Your data should not live where you cannot see it.

When files and prompts sit on someone else’s servers, you inherit their risks and their rules. We think there is a better default.

01

Public clouds are big targets

Large shared platforms hold data from millions of users, which makes them attractive to attackers.

02

Surveillance is built in

Data held by a provider can be scanned, analysed or demanded by companies and governments.

03

Local keeps you in control

When the data stays on your own machines, you decide who can reach it and when it is deleted.

How admission works

The course is not open to the public. Everyone enters through the Group.

1

Join the Group

Request to join. It takes a minute, and it is where all course access begins.

2

Collaborate with us

Work alongside members under our local-data practices and show you are a good fit.

3

Receive your invitation

Approved members get a personal invitation to enroll in AI Carrel.

What the Group commits to

Joining means agreeing to a few simple rules that protect everyone’s information.

  • Shared files stay on local, member-controlled hardware, not in a public cloud.
  • No client or confidential material goes into public AI tools.
  • Labs and exercises use public or synthetic documents only.
  • Access is by invitation and reviewed, so we know who is in the room.

Inside the AI Carrel course

  • What sovereign AI means, and where your setup sits on the spectrum
  • An honest three-year cost comparison against renting AI
  • Choosing and sizing open-weight models and hardware
  • Retrieval over your own documents, tested and verifiable
  • A hardened local deployment you control
  • Professional duties, data governance and day-one workflows

Questions

Why do I have to join the Group first?

The Group is how we keep the course invite only. It lets us see who is taking part and share one set of data-protection practices before anyone gets course access.

What does keeping data local mean?

It means our shared data is stored on computers that members own and control, instead of on a public cloud service run by someone else.

Is local storage perfectly secure?

No system is. Local storage removes a large class of exposure, and the Group’s practices cover the rest, but every member still has to follow them.

What happens after I join?

We review your request. Approved members receive a personal invitation to enroll in the course.

Start by joining the Group.

Course invitations go to approved Group members.

AI Carrel is an invite-only course. Statements about data security describe our practices and goals, not a guarantee against all risk.
